The 2024 NQRA Championships saw some excellent performances from the nation’s top target rifle competitors who gathered in Townsville for the event following the National Teams Championships.  Amazing scores and tight competition were the order of the day, every day!  

The Wilson lead-up match saw four A-Graders score the possible 300 points with Natives member, Bob Crawford, counted out into second place behind Jim Bailey from Holsworthy by one central bullseye. Andrew McKillop of the Pacific Club also went clean in F-Class Standard as did Stephen Lazarus of Cairns in Sporter-PCO,

The NQRA Kings Prize went down to the wire and a shoot-off was required to crown Scott Brindley of the Explorers Club the winner from Jim Bailey. Native’s members, Bob Crawford and Josh Pratt picked up 5th and 9th badges respectively.  In TR-B grade, Native’s member, John Caske, finished in 5th place.

Jim Bailey took out the Grand Aggregate with Bob Crawford again having to settle for second behind Jim while Josh won the 6th badge.
